just 90 miles from Minneapolis, RLWS offers big city careers in a small town atmosphere.The primary responsibility of the Electrical Engineer is to design new products and provide support for established products. Ensures that new products are designed to meet the Product Definition requirements, are cost effective and completed on-time. Must maintain leading edge technology competencies and incorporate them wherever possible while leveraging legacy RLWS products.In addition:
Creates new electrical schematics to satisfy Product Definition functionality requirements.
Works with PCB layout personnel to ensure proper circuit board artwork generation.
Incorporates new technology while leveraging existing RLWS designs as much as possible.
Finds and implements design changes of existing products as potentially quality issues arise.
Finds and implements design changes of existing products to reduce costs or address obsolete components.
Writes and performs
engineering
Change Orders as directed.
Works with programmers to test and debug new designs or ECO implementations.
Tests new or modified circuit assemblies to meet performance, environmental and, regulatory requirements.
Qualified applicants will have an Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and five (5) or more years of experience working with
electronics
; experience in electronic production and/or weighing a plus. Two or more years experience with circuit board development would be preferred. In addition, they will need outstanding personal computing skills including Excel, Word, Project; mainframe experience with M2K would be helpful.This position requires strong analytic and problem solving skills and advanced knowledge of electronics. The selected person will have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
This position requires on-site presence in Rice Lake, Wisconsin; reasonable relocation assistance is available.
